Collections Manager/Curator Position
UW-Madison Department of Anthropology seeks an energetic and highly motivated museum professional to curate the Department's archaeological, biological, and ethnographic collections; facilitate access to the collections for research and teaching; develop exhibits; ensure that the University remains compliant with NAGPRA; manage and develop teaching collections that align with faculty pedagogical goals; teach an undergraduate class on curation methods for anthropological collections; and participate in the development of funding for curation, NAGPRA compliance, teaching, and exhibition. The collections may also provide opportunities to conduct independent research. This is a 75% position. MA in anthropology, archaeology, museum studies, or related fields required, PhD preferred.  Prior professional experience in museum work or a related field, and knowledge of federal historic preservation laws (e.g., NAGPRA, NHPA) required.
